The cancer has come back, which, this soon after transplant, is a Very Bad Thing. But we are having good days with our boy, and pursuing a treatment that we hope will save the day.
Basically, it's like they say over at XKCD:
"Man. Fuck cancer."

Your program for Liam that you mentioned elsewhere just sounds great.
Maybe it could be "Liam's three Ls" - Love Someone, Learn Something, and Lend a Hand (make something...)
Maybe someday Congress will figure this one out but not soon I think...

Hey Matthew, just wondering how your son is doing.
He is responding well to treatment, so the docs think we have a shot. We'll probably be doing a second transplant within a month.
